Assort Health raises $120M Series C at $1.2B valuation to scale voice AI across the patient journey

Menlo Ventures led the round with Lightspeed, Felicis, First Round, Chemistry, Tau Ventures, and Quiet Capital participating. Assort has now raised $222M+ total. The platform has expanded beyond specialty scheduling into intake, referrals, document handling, medication refills, real-time eligibility, lab requests, and payments, trained on 190M+ patient interactions across 62,000 care protocols.

The interesting thing about Assort’s trajectory is that it never sold the “smart chatbot” story. The pitch was always “voice at the front of the practice” — scheduling calls, intake conversations, referrals coordination — with revenue growth coming from expanding across a specialty’s operational chain, not from bolt-on features. That pattern shows up in the numbers Assort disclosed alongside the round: 20x revenue growth in 15 months and enough specialty-specific protocol data (62,000 care pathways across the top clinical specialties) that new customers land on an existing configuration rather than a blank slate.

Voice-first patient-access AI is emerging as one of the most defensible categories in healthcare AI because it sits on a real, quantifiable operational pain point — the front-desk labor shortage — with a clear ROI story and a workflow-integration surface (the phone system) that does not require deep EHR access to add value. Voice avoids the harder unit-economics story of enterprise LLM copilots and the harder regulatory story of clinical-decision-support.

Read alongside Trase’s $107M seed, the Hippocratic and Innovaccer voice-AI moves earlier in the year, and the broader H1 2026 megadeal concentration, this is another data point that the “back-office and front-desk agents” thesis is where growth-stage capital is going in health-AI — not bedside decision support, which continues to be a slower, more governance-heavy sale. Menlo Ventures leading the round with follow-on from Lightspeed, Felicis, First Round, Chemistry, Tau Ventures, and Quiet Capital brings Assort’s total funding to $222M+.
